• EMDR / GREP Skills Group

• Disability Support – Spoons Group

Waitlists available for:

• Individual counselling (ages 5+) (possible opening for one or two slots currently for individuals)

• Relationship counselling (ages 19+)

• Family counselling (all ages)

ABOUT DEB


(Deb she/her), MACP, BA is a Counsellor with Companion Planting Counselling, based in lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ territories in Victoria, BC.

Deb brings a grounded, thoughtful, and deeply relational approach to her counselling work.

Her practice is especially grounded in narrative therapy, with a meaningful focus on supporting people through grief, shame, anger, life transitions, and the process of making sense of their stories.

Now retired from public service, Deb brings the steadiness, perspective, and care of her lived and professional experience into her counselling practice.

As an older adult with hearing loss and other disabilities, Deb brings a particular passion for supporting older adults and people navigating aging, disability, and changing access needs.

She understands that change with aging that happens to all of us, and that support can help people meet those changes with compassion, dignity, and care.

Deb’s practice is warm, calm, reflective, and collaborative.

Offerings:

  • Counselling: Adults 35+, older adults, individuals, couples/relationships and groups - navigating grief, shame, anger, anxiety, fear, depression, loneliness, despair, disability, aging, and life transitions
  • Approaches: Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
  • Access: In-person walk-and-talk sessions in Victoria / Saanich, and online sessions depending on location and availability
